STONE PRINCESS by Devney Perry
Release Date: May 5th, 2020
Purchase Details: www.devneyperry.com/books/ stone-princess
Presley Marks has just become a cliché: the jilted bride. Wearing a white dress, standing in front of her friends and family, she announces that her fiancé—according to his text—has forgotten about the wedding.
Humiliated and angry, she hides from the world in the mundane routine of her life. Working at the Clifton Forge Garage isn’t glamorous, but it’s safe from the spotlight.
At least it was, until Shaw Valance comes to town.
The notorious Hollywood actor is starring in a movie based on the town’s infamous murder. When he’s not on set, Shaw hovers at the garage, watching as they build his custom motorcycle and irritating her with his handsome smile. He was supposed to leave once filming wrapped and go back to his fancy life, not buy the house next door.
But Shaw might regret that purchase once Presley’s ex-fiancé returns, bringing with him a war between old rivals that could burn both their houses down.
My Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Devney Perry writes books that draw you in from the first page. And keeps you entranced until the very end. You are left wanting more, because that is how compelling her storytelling is. It's face paced, combined with characters that you want to know everything about. She brings their love, happiness and pain, to life so well, through each chapter.
The Tension, the banter, the passion, in this book, stole my heart. Each book in the Tin Gypsy series is so special, this group of friends, this family make reading these books so easy to get lost in.
Presley and Shaw have this beautiful, tension filled connection. Shaw knows what he wants and Presley has walls up to protect herself. Their witty banter and sexual tension make for such fun interactions every time the two are together.
Presley cant handle anymore pain or disappointment, so she keeps her emotions to herself and pushes Shaw away whenever he tries to dig deeper and discover who she is. Shaw is so much more than just a "Hollywood heartthrob", and the more he's around Presley, the more time he spends in this small town, the more he longs show her man he really is.
Presley Marks is once kick*** character. She fought to survive, to leave her past behind. And make a life she loves, surrounded by people she loves. No matter whats thrown at her, she rises up and keeps going. I loved her sassy attitude. Her spunk. Her love for her little family that she built at the Clifton Forge garage.
Shaw Valance is a swoony, capture your heart kind of guy. I loved his character. He's strong and confident, yet vulnerable. A man who goes after what he wants. He let the past hold him for to long, and had to learn how to move forward. This hero will capture every readers heart!
Lies and secrets. Old ghosts and grudges. It's small town meets Hollywood. A perfect blend of worlds colliding, that leaves you breathless and hungry for more. Stone Princess is another fantastic addition to this series. I am SO ready to see whats in store in the next book!

EXCERPT:
My realtor would have earned a higher commission if she had mentioned that the woman who lived next door was Presley Marks. “Isn’t this a surprise?”
“Is it?” Presley asked, frowning as I descended my steps and crossed the lawn, meeting her in her driveway. She raised a dark blond eyebrow. “Because it sort of feels like stalking.”
I chuckled. “I swear I had no idea you lived next door.”
But what a bonus. I wouldn’t have to make excuses to stop by the garage to see her. She could tear that insurance waiver to shreds. Presley had to know I didn’t give a damn about that bike they were building for me.
“You bought this house?”
“Yeah.” I reached for the grocery bags she had in her hands. “Here, let me help.”
She twisted away. “I’ve got them.”
“Come on.” I stepped forward and she took a step back. Wait, did she really think I was stalking her? “I’m just trying to help. I mean, I’ll probably start writing down your daily schedule so I can make sure our paths cross at least once a day. But that’s normal, right? For stalkers?”
“Are you being funny?”
My smile flattened. “I guess not.”
