Joey Gamble has worked hard over the years to prove that she's a great driver, but she's never been treated as a equal in the male dominated sport of pro racing. She's faster, more talented, but that all gets over looked. She's ready to take her career over to indie racing, she has supporters over there, with Drew & Trent, and she feels she can make more of a name for herself in the NRR and not just as Ron Gamble's daughter. But it's not easy, she faces snide remarks and jabs at every turn. Joey tries to let it go, to brush it off, but she can only take so much. The comments from, Indie Driver, Lorhaven, make her want to prove herself even more. The consuming attraction she has towards this sexy & cocky man comes as a surprise to her. But there is just something that keeps drawing her back. Maybe it's his tough attitude, that she can see hiding a great man, one that she wants to know.
Lorhaven has a reputation on his streets, people either fear and respect him, or want to take his place. He's coming up in the Indie Racing world, still running races on the streets and protecting his brother. Lorhaven keeps people form seeing the real him, the only person he really cares about is his brother, Arrow. He has a record, a past, and he stays guarded. Letting his reputation define him, is easier than letting anyone see that there is more to him. Lorhaven finds himself opening up to Joey Gamble. He wants to really know this gorgeous, strong, and fierce women.
#Swag was Amazing! Each book in this series is, and after each book, I just fall more in love with this world that Cambria Hebert has created. It's fast paced, entertaining, passionate, and so much fun. The love these characters have for not just each other but, their friends and family, make for a series, that I want to read all the time. #Swag, like the rest of the series, was refreshing and original. When reading this book I forget about everything but the words I was reading. And after it was done, I couldn't stop thinking about this book.
I'm just so in love with Joey and Lorhaven. The chemistry between these two was beautiful, fiery, and passion filled. Joey & Lorhaven, collide and its the best thing to read. They compliment each other so well, and make each other better and stronger. I really really loved Joey. She's so brave, strong, and confident. She's a sassy, take charge women and she doesn't get defeated. Joey stays true to herself and has a big heart. Lorhaven, oh man can I talk about this man all day, Cambria has not wrote a male lead that I haven't fallen for. And Lorhaven is just such a great character to read, he's rough, a jerk, harsh. He's take charge sexy. #Swoon But he's a great guy, and so loving to those few he lets close. I flipped through the pages like crazy, loving every word, and loving Joey & Lorhaven even more.
Amazing job Cambria Hebert, I'm always so excited to read whatever you write next.
