I am so in love with Drew & Trent!
Drew Forrester, total adrenaline #Junkie, is looking for more in his life. He has his family, his best friend Trent, and his beloved 1969 Mustang. But he craves more. He wants to experience that feeling he gets, when he's behind the wheel, flying down the street, all the time. When a opportunity arises for indie drivers like him to make a name for themselves, he's more than ready. And with Trent by his side, who always believes in him, his car, and lots of heart, Drew Forrester is at the starting line ready to show the world what he's got. As ready as he is for this shot, is he ready to face whats happening between him and his best friend.
Trent Mask, beloved best friend, president of his fraternity, football player, is also looking for more in his life. He feels something is missing. And with graduation approaching, wondering what comes next is starting to weigh him down. The only time he doesn't seem to feel lost is when he's with Drew, but lately being around Drew is starting to bring out feelings that he has kept pushed down. And with pressure form his fraternity, these feelings toward his best friend, and what comes next, Trent seems to have more questions than answers. But he knows one thing, he doesn't want to loose Drew.
I LOVED every bit of this book. I knew I would. The Hashtag series is one of my favorite, and when I heard we were getting a spin-off series with Drew & Trent I could not be happier. Reading about their friendship when it first started back in #Poser, I just knew these two were going to hold a special place in my heart and I was right. Their story is one beautiful, sexy, funny, I want more and more, make me feel all the feels, kind of book.
Drew, Oh man do I love this scruffy, sexy, loyal, adrenaline junkie of a man! I loved being inside his head. Not only was he funny and cocky, he's vulnerable and sweet, and loves his family fiercely. He is trying to find himself. He wants to be someone other than what his father always excepted. You really seem him grow and reach for what wants.
Trent, oh Trent, did he make my heart ache, and make me want to hold him in my arms and give him the biggest hug. Trent is a beautiful character to read. His tenderness mixed with his tough and protective attitude. His love for his group of friends, that became his family. He was dealing with so many thoughts and emotions, but stayed strong, held his head high, and started to believe in himself.
I love these two characters so much. Their friendship that turned to so much more. They fight for each other, they have so much love, a bond, that I want to read more of, and over and over. And are these two HOT! That fist kiss...... Wow that was a first kiss to remember. ;)
Cambria Hebert is a amazingly talented writer, she brings to life these characters that wiggle their way into your heart, they stay with you long after the story has ended. The love, the funny one liners, the action, I felt like I was riding shotgun in the fastback every time Drew raced. It was a exhilarating book, fast paced and left me craving more Trent & Drew!
